Iranian Garden

Most of the tourists travelling around the world think that in order to have easy access to tourist attractions in cities, they’d better take accommodation downtown or in the city-center. And this common idea has made the sentence “located close to the city-center” a crucial sentence on accommodation facilities’ websites. Living in Tehran for decades now I can say this is not true about Tehran and many of the best of the tourist attractions in Tehran are located in the north of the city and Iranian Garden in Tehran is an item in a long list.

Beautiful in All Seasons

Iranian Garden in Tehran is a popular attraction visited by locals and foreign tourists all around the year. It is located in Vanak Village (Dehe Vanak) in the north-west of Tehran and despite its not very big dimensions, it’s amazingly beautiful, relaxing and most important of all, Persian. The factors that have made Iranian Garden so popular are not hard to recognize. First, this garden in Tehran has a very convenient location; second, the garden has an amazing style of architecture and design; and third, Iranian Garden in Tehran has very beautiful trees and flowers.

Tehran's Persian Garden; Location

The location of Iranian Garden in Tehran is very convenient; it’s just a 5-min walk from one the major BRT bus stops in Tehran called Pole Modiriyat bus stop. BRT bus lines in Tehran are a blessing in this chaotic city in which traffic jams are an everyday thing. They’re even better than Tehran’s metro in one aspect because Tehran's Metro stops running at 11 pm, but BRT buses run 24-hour. Iranian Garden is located to the east side of one the most famous freeways in Tehran called Chamran Freeway and although the Garden is less than a 100 meters away from the freeway, the garden’s tall and thick trees does not let the maddening noise of the cars penetrate the peaceful atmosphere in the park.

Persian Gardens Layout

Iranian Garden in Tehran’s architecture is amazing. It’s traditional in style and follows the ancient norms of laying gardens in ancient Persia. There are brooks flowing around at the bottom of the trees and they flow in cobbled waterways and produce that magical splashy sound that is the best music in nature. There are also tiny fountains that line the paths in the Garden. The garden’s buildings are built in the Persian traditional style and are decorated with traditional colorful latticed windows and chandeliers. But the most beautiful thing about Iranian Garden in Tehran is its very tall Chinar trees and colorful flowers.
