Shemshak Hotels

There are vast deserts in Iran, and the country is often known for its grand sandy deserts and the searing coasts of the Persian Gulf. But not many know that there are also more than 20 functional Iranian ski resorts some of which continue to welcome skiers up until early spring. Dizin and Shemshak ski resorts are the most popular resorts in Iran. Dizin is larger and more equipped with entertainment and amenities while Shemshak ski tours are great for pro skiers. With the highest runs in the country, Shemshak provokes the snow enthusiast to conquer its slopes. Everything is designed in Shemshak to please the skiers. With amazing lighting facilities skiers can even experience a dose of nocturnal snow adventure in Alborz mountains. Although Shemshak is a 90-min drive from the capital, its accommodation facilities are superb. There are two hotels in Shemshak. Shemshak Barin Hotel is the largest hotel in Iranian ski resorts. Its modern architecture is a class of its own and the igloo-shaped rooms simulates the feeling of sleeping under a snowy roof. Shemshak Barin Hotel is the most popular residence for skiers and during ski season booking a room could be a challenge. There aren’t any hostels and guesthouses in Shemshak, but you can have a great experience by booking a room in Shemshak Tourist Hotel as well. This abode of memories has served for years as the sole hotel which is right next to Shemshak resort and is one the oldest in Iran ski resorts. Presently, Shemshak doesn’t have any hostels but hopefully in the near future there will be a Seven Hostel in this region as well. As with most of the hotels and hostels in Iran, the best thing about staying in Shemshak is finding great friends and having a taste of the legendary Persian hospitality.
