Yazd City Tour

Yazd, the first and only city in Iran listed as a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site
is located 623km away from
Tehran, at the center of the country. It is not by
accident that such an honor is bestowed upon Yazd. There are a great number of
cities in Iran known for their former glorious urban design and architecture.
But just a few have retained their old look and Yazd is definitely one of the
finest. The city is also one of the oldest cradles of civilization in Iran and
numerous authenticated historical sites and remains attest to the historical and
cultural significance of Yazd. The stunning example of “Qanats” is enough to
show you the advanced level of existence in this ancient abode of
Iranians.
These underground canals were built about a thousand years BC to provide access
to undercurrent streams. Another fascinating technical artistry of ancient Yazd
inhabitants is some peculiar structures named Badgir. Literally meaning
windcatchers, these complex systems ubiquitous in Yazd functioned as natural
ventilators, absorbing and cooling the currents thus creating a refreshing
atmosphere inside while the outside world is at the verge of melting under the
scorching desert sun. You will get used to coming across these beautiful
structures on
Yazd tours. Our journey in Yazd take a whole day and
we visit one spectacular spot after another in the magnificence of this museum
of a city.
Yazd tourist attractions include marvelous religious edifices from
different historical periods such as the sublime Jame Mosque of Yazd, probably
the finest instance of grand mosques in Iran and a couple of extraordinary
Zoroastrian fire temples.
Yazd accommodation facilities are equally unique and
alluring. Mostly situated in the divine neighborhoods of Yazd old town, Yazd
hotels caress the souls of their guests with their windcatchers and expansive
yards where fountain pools breathe a new life into the torrid desert air. These
matchless features explain why
Yazd desert tours are among our most popular
packages.
Garmeh Village Tour

Traveling to Garmeh village,
this ancient realm of sands is far beyond a typical rural journey. In our Garmeh
village tour you will climb sand dunes to discover one of the most ravishing
desert sunsets in the world. You will sit under the shadow of lofty palm trees
while looking at the bluest of all ponds. You will visit a fort whose body is
still marked by the cruelty of ancient wars. And you will stay in a guesthouse
which is the true definition of authenticity and coziness. To join our Garmeh
village tour you first need to reach either
Isfahan or Yazd, themselves
major tourist destinations. Garmeh tour from Yazd starts in the morning of your
desired date when our professional tour guide picks you up from your
accommodation in the city and you head straight to Garmeh. The journey takes
about four hours. After checking into one of Garmeh’s lovely accommodation
facilities it will be near lunchtime. You will have a delicious meal and rest
for a short while and prepare for the adventures of the day. Our itinerary in
the first day includes a sightseeing tour of the village, visits to a Sassanid
citadel and relishing the wonderful desert sights. We will return to our
accommodation before dark just in time to join the festive atmosphere of the
guesthouse. People in charge of the
traditional lodges
in Garmeh like the famous Maziar Aledavood, the manager of the
amazing Ateshooni Guesthouse enjoy the company of their guests and entertain
them with live music and stories about the desert. Our plan for the next day is
touring the stunning Mesr desert, one of the most beautiful deserts in Iran.
After spending a couple of hours among the magical dunes, we will put an end to
our desert adventure by heading back to the city of windcatchers.
