Varzaneh

Varzanh is a small but ancient city located almost at the center of Iran and at a distance of of around 110 km to the east of Isfahan. There are not many cities in Iran that offer both historical and natural attractions at the same time and Varzaneh is one of them. The archeological excavations show that the civilization of the region goes back to 5000 years ago and there are around a dozen of interesting historic tourist spots in Varzaneh. Ghoortan Citadel, Vrazaneh Jameh Mosque, Yusefi Traditional House, Varzaneh Old Bridge, etc. are among the list.

Iran Varzaneh Desert and Salt Lake

Iran Varzaneh Desert is the most famous and also most popular tourist attraction in this region. It's golden sand dunes are truly mesmerizing. Aside form its beauty, there is also another reason for the popularity of this desert. Compared to other famous deserts here such Iran Mesr Desert, Varzaneh Desert is reached more conveniently from major central Iranian cities like Isfahan. Whereas one would have to drive for around 5 to 6 hours from Isfahan to reach Garmeh and its nearest desert i.e Mesr Desert, one can reach Varzaneh Desert and Salt lake after less than a two-hour ride. This is maybe the reason that Varzaneh tours are among the most wanted Iran desert tours, and Varzaneh guesthouses and hotels are quite popular.
