He started by renovating a 300 year old house in Garmeh. The result became Ateshooni Guesthouse with seven rooms offering services to a total of 20 people. Later the guesthouse was expanded and now includes a dorm and 5 other rooms as well as its main building, thus doubling the initial capacity. For booking the rooms you have two options: either you can opt for a room with three daily meals or you can choose the cheaper option with only breakfast included. If you lodge in the dormitory you will have access to a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. All rooms are furnished according to the local desert tradition. To maintain the authenticity of the desert lodge, there are no fancy beds and furniture but you will sleep on comfortable mattresses on the floor. All rooms are efficiently heated and ventilated by fans and heaters. Bathrooms are shared but very clean and well-equipped. The most convenient way to reach Garmeh is reaching the village via the small city of Khur, a route that we have already recommended earlier in another text on Mesr village and Mesr desert. Once in Khur, you can take a taxi to take you straight to Garmeh village (35 km). Depending on your time and budget (especially the former) you can take part in a wide array of fun activities. You can visit the beautiful palm gardens and therapeutic springs of the area. There are extraordinary desert sights and historic spots to visit in the villages nearby. And only 80 km away you will find the marvelous Mesr desert with its golden dunes and boundless horizon.
